The Systems research group in Lehigh's CSE department explores diverse areas including network security, blockchain technology, database architectures, distributed systems, IoT applications, cyber-physical systems, wireless structural monitoring, and programming language development. Both faculty and students work on practical implementations addressing challenges in industrial control security, intelligent transportation solutions, blockchain databases, multithreading optimization through Transactional Memory, GPU computing, NVM programming extensions, and RDMA-enabled distributed computing. Graduate students in Computer Science pursue innovative research across multiple domains such as information systems, search technologies, computer graphics, human-computer interaction, web applications, multimedia processing, computational biology, AI applications, hardware architecture, robotic systems, cybersecurity, networking, embedded devices, and mobile technologies.
