Biological sciences explore living systems across various scales, from molecular structures and functions to the dynamics of organism communities. The Department provides four distinct pathways to develop expertise in this diverse field. Students can pursue either a B.A. or B.S. in Biology, which offers a comprehensive foundation while allowing customization based on individual interests. Specialized options include B.A. and B.S. degrees in Behavioral Neuroscience and Molecular Biology, along with a B.S. in Biochemistry. Lehigh's behavioral neuroscience major examines the biological foundations of human behavior, integrating psychology and biology to understand how physiological systems govern behavior in humans and animals. Biological sciences encompass the investigation of living systems at multiple levels, from molecular mechanisms to the evolutionary patterns of ecological communities.
