The Global Health specialization trains students to recognize and tackle crucial public health challenges affecting marginalized and at-risk communities worldwide. This program emphasizes interdisciplinary strategies combining biological and social sciences to solve pressing global health issues. Participants can specialize in areas like HIV/AIDS, health policy, inequities, health promotion, environmental health, or nutrition. Upon completion, graduates qualify for entry-level roles in public health organizations across local, national, and international settings in both governmental and private sectors. Concentration requirements include a study abroad component and completion of four language courses (beginner to intermediate levels) in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.

Qualification Requirements

New first-year applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.). A student who has previously enrolled in a post-secondary (higher education) institution is required to apply as a transfer student.
