Public health offers a dynamic and varied career path for individuals passionate about improving community health and environmental well-being. Professionals can pursue roles in both government and private organizations, working at local, regional, national, or global levels to enhance health outcomes and prevent illnesses. Our faculty and students explore diverse influences on public health, including environmental concerns, healthcare accessibility, policy decisions, and social determinants of health.
Students in this program select from one of these specialized tracks:
General Public Health
Health Management and Policy
Health Promotion and Health Behavior
These concentrations prepare students for advanced studies in public health.
The Health Management and Policy track equips students with essential skills for overseeing public health initiatives and analyzing healthcare policies. This pathway is ideal for aspiring managers in various healthcare settings, including both public institutions and private enterprises, with particular emphasis on the business dimensions of healthcare delivery. Students may also specialize in senior care administration, earning a Gerontology Certificate while focusing on assisted living facilities, retirement communities, and nursing homes.
