The Integrated Science Education Bachelor of Science is a five-year program designed to qualify graduates for science teaching certification across grades 7-12. This comprehensive curriculum covers diverse scientific disciplines including earth science, geography, biology, chemistry, and physics, with an option to focus on one specialization area. The first four years primarily focus on science content courses, with teaching methodology instruction starting in the fourth-year spring semester. The culminating year combines advanced content studies, specialized science teaching methods, and an extensive school district placement featuring a 13-week student teaching experience in the final semester. Early academic advising is strongly recommended due to the carefully structured course sequence requirements.
