The Criminology and Justice Studies Bachelor of Arts program employs a multidisciplinary perspective to examine crime, law, and justice systems. Instructors analyze criminal behavior, social deviance, and institutional responses through lenses of sociology, political science, psychology, and conventional criminal justice frameworks. The coursework establishes foundational knowledge about criminal justice institutions while incorporating criminological theories and diversity studies that explore interactions between individuals, communities, and legal systems. Emphasis is placed on developing strong writing abilities and critical thinking. Internship opportunities allow students to gain practical experience while earning academic credit.
With guidance from faculty advisors or the undergraduate coordinator, students choose at least one specialization area. These academic consultations help learners select optimal course combinations to best prepare for professional pathways or advanced degree programs.
