The Clinical Sciences Area of Emphasis is overseen by the Graduate Faculty within the Department of Clinical Sciences. This graduate program aims to equip students for professional roles in education, research, or clinical service within specialized fields or R&D initiatives. Students gain expertise in designing research studies and crafting proposals, enabling them to collaborate effectively with biomedical and clinical science experts. Through teaching practice and scholarly review, participants build foundations for future academic and investigative work in their chosen fields. Graduates emerge with enhanced capabilities for conducting research individually or collaboratively. Beyond the MS in clinical specialties (including small animal, equine, and large animal medicine), the program offers an MS in Production Animal Medicine. The department boasts state-of-the-art resources through its partnership with Kansas State University's Veterinary Health Center and Beef Cattle Institute, supporting both fundamental and practical research endeavors.
