The Master of Arts in English offers five specialized tracks, all achievable within 30 credit hours. Each program features a foundational literature component (9 credits), specialized coursework in the selected track (9 credits), elective options (9 credits), a seminar course (3 credits), foreign language proficiency (or an approved alternative research method), a culminating written project or thesis, and a final oral defense presenting and discussing the research work.

Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of coursework.
Writing sample of 8-15 pages of analytical or persuasive prose.
Copy of official transcript from each college or university you have attended.
Three letters of recommendation
To be considered for admission, applicants who are submitting a TOEFL score must have a minimum of 92 on the iBT (internet-based TOEFL). Applicants with a score of 7.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam may also be considered for admission.
