The Department of Anatomy and Physiology provides programs for pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Research focuses primarily on cell and systemic physiology, immunophysiology, neuroscience, and pharmacology. Key research areas encompass: nanomedicine and drug delivery applications in biomedicine, comparative exercise physiology, immunophysiology in food animals, membrane molecular biology, genetic mapping and expression studies, neural regulation of cardiovascular activity, ion channel architecture and operations, as well as microcirculation transport mechanisms and disease processes.
