The Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership equips students to serve as nonprofit executives, staff, board members, and more. This certificate will develop capacity for effective leadership in nonprofit organizations regardless of one's career or role in nonprofit work. Students will learn best practices for nonprofit organizations and apply that learning in work with local community organizations. Students pursuing the certificate will engage with nonprofit executive directors, service-learning pedagogy, volunteer and event management experiences, and more. They will also have the option to become Certified Nonprofit Professionals, the nationally-recognized credential from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. This 12-credit-hour certificate provides students with the organizational knowledge, interpersonal confidence, and leadership experience needed to make change on the grand challenges facing our world.

Qualification Requirements

Transcripts for all previous academic coursework must be submitted. This includes high school (secondary school) transcripts, and any and all university, college, vocational, community college, or technical coursework beyond the secondary level. Minimum 2.5 GPA (Grade Point Average) on a 4.0 scale in high school coursework. TOEFL iBT - 79 or above, IELTS - 6.5 or above, SAT - 460 on Evidence-based Reading and Writing, ACT - 21 or above on English.
