If you're starting college without a chosen major, you're in good company. Twenty percent of first-year students and 10% of transfers begin their studies undecided. Being undecided actually offers benefits, giving you space to investigate different fields, consider your aspirations, and find an academic path that aligns with your strengths. Remember that your major doesn't always dictate your career path - especially in liberal arts fields, where you'll develop versatile skills applicable to various professions. Our goal is to help you thrive, find your calling, earn your degree, and launch a rewarding professional life. Establishing a solid academic base is crucial from the start. Through general education requirements, you'll sample diverse subjects via introductory courses across our four colleges and schools. You can stay undeclared through your second year, with the expectation that you'll select a major by junior year. Even after choosing a concentration, we offer ongoing guidance and tools to support your career planning and preparation for graduate or professional studies.
