This intensive 18-month program offers two annual enrollment periods (fall or spring) with classes held in late afternoons and evenings. The flexible scheduling enables students to complete daytime and weekend field placements while pursuing their studies. Courses are available through various formats - in-person, hybrid, and online - with most instruction provided by experienced full-time faculty specializing in diverse counseling fields such as clinical practice, school settings, addiction treatment, grief counseling, rehabilitation, and social work.
Develop practical clinical abilities by applying theoretical knowledge to ethical client engagement and treatment strategies. Students gain hands-on experience through the counseling training lab and supervised clinical placements with licensed practitioners.
The comprehensive 60-credit curriculum consists of 12 required courses, 4 electives, plus both practicum and internship components. Fieldwork begins with a 100-hour practicum and progresses to a supervised internship, allowing students to implement professional skills in real-world settings under expert guidance.
