The bachelor's program in Applied Food Science merges culinary expertise with scientific food studies, equipping students for roles in food innovation, quality control, production oversight, and food technology careers. This program welcomes both Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts associate degree holders and graduates from similar culinary and baking/pastry programs.
After finishing the program, graduates will be able to: Utilize food chemistry and scientific concepts to create and improve food products, Show hands-on competence in food science laboratory work, Implement food technology and processing methods in food systems, Use food safety and microbiology knowledge to address food-related challenges, and Display strong verbal and written communication abilities.
