The MSPH in Health Policy is a career-focused degree tailored for those aiming to build or enhance their expertise as health policy practitioners in the U.S. This intensive program combines one year of accelerated academic study with a second year of full-time professional work, creating a smooth pathway from student to policy professional. Participants gain hands-on experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and policy development, with emphasis on real-world applications across federal, state, and local government sectors. During their field placement year, students hold paid positions in diverse settings including government agencies, non-profits, consulting firms, and advocacy organizations. The second-year curriculum complements rather than disrupts their professional work, featuring career-enhancing activities and practical assignments that reinforce their policy skills. Students may also opt for online coursework during this year to further their professional growth.
Admissions will waive this requirement for degree applicants only if a student has completed a four-year degree from an accredited U.S. institution.
Students must have IELTS Academic Band Score equal to 7, or a minimum score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), and 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
