The ChemBE PhD program focuses on educating, guiding, and mentoring doctoral candidates to become leaders in their research and teaching careers. Qualification Requirements
You will need to upload unofficial transcripts from each college or university you have attended to your application. Applicants are required to submit a statement of purpose through the online application. Applicants are required to request recent GRE scores from ETS and submit them to Johns Hopkins before the application deadline. In order for your application to be reviewed, you must include the university’s institution code in your request to ETS.
A TOEFL score of 100 is required for international applicants from non-English speaking countries. Johns Hopkins prefers an IELTS Academic Band Score equal to 7, or a minimum score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), and 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
