The Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis (CTES) track is a methodology-focused program within the Department of Epidemiology. CTES focuses on advancing clinical trials and epidemiological approaches for evaluating health interventions, including prevention, treatment, and diagnostic methods. Its purpose is to foster research, academic excellence, and intellectual collaboration within the Johns Hopkins community and worldwide.
Track Objectives
Establish leadership in clinical trials at local, national, and international levels
Deliver a world-class academic program covering clinical trials, evidence-based healthcare, and evidence synthesis through systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses
Advance evidence-based healthcare and encourage the application of research findings in policy and practice
Champion patient and public involvement in health research
Support the professional growth of faculty members
Maintain an encouraging and collaborative workplace
The track provides training opportunities for both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral candidates in the Department of Epidemiology. Students engage in coursework and track activities such as journal clubs, research meetings, and a monthly seminar series hosted by the Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis.
