The Master of Arts in Recording and Production represents a specialized track within our Audio Sciences curriculum, blending theoretical study with hands-on experience in recording techniques. This program features foundational classes in Advanced Recording Systems (first year) and Advanced Studio Production (second year), along with specialized instruction in acoustics, electroacoustics, musical acoustics, psychoacoustics, audio equipment technology, and critical listening skills. Students gain practical experience through a paid work-study program with ample chances to record both large-scale and intimate classical/jazz performances, as well as special sessions at the conservatory. While classical and jazz remain the program's primary focus, students also dedicate significant studio time to exploring production techniques for rock and contemporary music genres.
