Our graduate program immerses students in psychological science through comprehensive and specialized seminars across psychology's diverse fields, coupled with hands-on research participation. We focus exclusively on research training rather than clinical education. Our department prioritizes developing expertise in research methodologies crucial for advancing psychological knowledge. The doctoral curriculum centers on scientific approaches, offering training in both theoretical investigation and applied research addressing real-world challenges. PhD candidates gain deep expertise in their chosen specialization while also cultivating broad interdisciplinary knowledge.
Typically spanning five years, the PhD program involves semesterly progress reviews during the first year, followed by annual evaluations. Maintaining satisfactory academic advancement is essential for ongoing financial support through stipends and tuition coverage.
