Pathology is a comprehensive field that examines both the entire organism and its cellular, tissue, and molecular components to investigate disease origins and processes. This discipline seeks to uncover the fundamental mechanisms behind illnesses and uses this knowledge to enhance clinical disease treatment. The Pathobiology Graduate Program equips students with robust training in pathology and foundational sciences, preparing them for careers in academia, research, education, and biotechnology. The Department of Pathology's Graduate Program in Pathobiology provides a curriculum culminating in a Ph.D. in Pathobiology, with no option to pursue an M.A. degree.
