The Epidemiology doctoral program focuses on public health and population-based studies. Learners employ epidemiological techniques to investigate intricate health challenges. The PhD curriculum includes two years of classes plus a minimum of two years dedicated to research. Participants must undergo teaching instruction and assist with methodology and subject-specific courses. Requirements also involve passing a written comprehensive test, a mock oral examination, a preliminary assessment, numerous oral and poster presentations, plus a culminating dissertation with its defense.
Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis (CTES) represents a methodology-focused specialization within the Epidemiology Department.
CTES concentrates on advancing clinical studies and epidemiological approaches for compiling evidence to assess health interventions related to prevention, treatment, and diagnosis. This specialization aims to foster research, academic excellence, and intellectual collaboration both within Johns Hopkins and worldwide.
