The ChemBE PhD program aims to cultivate, guide, and support doctoral candidates, equipping them to thrive as leaders in both research and academia. Our graduates have gone on to prestigious roles across various sectors—in government organizations (including the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Army Research Lab, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and FDA), industry (with companies like Xerox, Saudi Aramco, MedImmune, Intel, and Bristol-Myers Squibb), and higher education (holding positions at institutions such as University of Washington, University of California San Diego, Georgia Tech, University of Iowa, and University of Southern California).
All applicants, who hold degrees or have earned credits from non-U.S. institutions must have their academic records evaluated by World Education Services (WES) before they can be considered for graduate or special student status, or admission to a degree.
Students must have IELTS Academic Band Score equal to 7, or a minimum score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), and 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
