The Peabody Undergraduate Music Education program caters to talented performers who are passionate about imparting their musical knowledge through teaching in today's modern era. This forward-thinking curriculum equips future educators with the essential knowledge, abilities, and perspectives needed for successful music instruction. Upon completion, graduates will receive certification to teach music from kindergarten through 12th grade in Maryland and all reciprocal states.
Students must have completed high school equivalent qualification.
Applicants should typically receive a minimum of 100 total for the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with preferred sub-scores of 26 (Reading), 26 (Listening), 22 (Writing), and 25 (Speaking). A score of 7.0 or higher on each band is expected on IELTS, and a score of 75 or higher is expected for the DET.
