Students have the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Foreign Languages alongside a minor in their chosen language. The department currently offers: Four-year programs in Arabic, French, German, Italian, and Spanish; three-year programs in Chinese and Japanese; and two-year programs in Ancient Greek, Latin, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili. To major in languages, students must complete at least 33 upper-division credit hours in their selected language.
