The Department of Health Sciences (HS) within the School of Life Sciences and Technologies (LST) primarily aims to equip students with a strong academic foundation. This serves both those pursuing bachelor's-level studies and students preparing for health-related pre-professional or professional programs, including nursing, physician assistant roles, pharmacy, various therapy fields (physical, occupational, massage, nutritional), medical and dental careers (medicine, dentistry, dental assisting), optometry, and veterinary science. The curriculum covers subjects like biochemistry, human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and biotechnology. Successful completion of relevant Health Sciences pathways can lead to an Associate in Science degree or certificates in Biotechnology-Lab Assistance or Biotechnology Biomanufacturing Technician roles.
