This program offers students a comprehensive yet focused education in theater arts. Participants gain training in acting techniques along with various backstage specialties including lighting design, costume creation, directing, and stage management. The curriculum provides numerous chances to engage in department productions, either as performers or technical crew members. Every course in this program qualifies for UC/CSU transfer credits.
In accordance with SB1440, section 66756, students pursuing an AA-T in Theatre Arts must fulfill these requirements:
Complete 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of applicable coursework,
Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA,
Achieve at least a C grade (or Pass) in all major courses, and
Fulfill either IGETC or CSU GE-Breadth requirements.
