Hone your performance skills and explore diverse styles to get ready for a career on stage or screen. Our performance program equips students with essential acting abilities for professional work. After graduating, you'll become part of a distinguished alumni community working nationwide in both professional and academic theater. Opportunities include acting and choreography roles, voiceover work for animation, and theater education positions. Students frequently receive performance and design chances through faculty-led professional projects and can audition for local theater companies. The Dance and Theatre Department operates the University Theater (a 409-seat proscenium venue) and Studio Theater (160-seat black box), along with technical facilities supporting the annual season, including fully-equipped costume and scenic shops and sufficient storage space.
