At ISU, we are committed to supporting your graduate studies journey. To begin, we've compiled details on application requirements along with resources for additional information. We invite you to investigate these materials. Learning Objectives:
Pursue innovative research. Our graduate students will undertake significant, novel research within their chosen physics/astronomy discipline. This involves cultivating skills to analyze academic publications, clearly define research aims, and accurately evaluate findings.
Master physics/astronomy concepts. Students will establish a robust understanding of advanced physics/astronomy principles and the sophisticated experimental, observational, and computational methods essential for their work. They'll also gain comprehensive knowledge across various physics/astronomy areas outside their specialization.
Cultivate professional skills. Our students will demonstrate ethical scholarship and teaching practices, whether collaborating or working independently. They'll refine their ability to effectively communicate intricate scientific subjects through writing and speaking, meeting the standards for peer-reviewed publications and academic presentations.
