The Physics department provides M.A. and M.S. programs with a concentration in environmental physics. Alongside the standard Master's degree prerequisites in Physics, these additional guidelines must be followed:
Each student's advisory committee must incorporate at least one faculty member from physical sciences who participates in the Environmental Studies Department's program.
Students must complete at least eighteen graduate credit hours in physics, with twelve of those being 5000-level physics courses.
An additional six credit hours of graduate coursework in environmental studies is mandatory.
For the thesis component, six credit hours of research (PHY 5V99) focused on environmental physics topics are required.
