The Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management boasts one of the world's premier graduate programs in its field. Program faculty require students to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA as evidence of course mastery. Students must develop teamwork skills, design research/creative initiatives, and demonstrate effective written and oral communication. Additionally, students are expected to understand relevant societal, professional, and ethical considerations within the discipline.
Graduates of the AESHM program achieve competency in four key areas:
Critical Thinking: 1.Synthesize, connect, and assess research/creative work within their discipline and related fields. 2.Employ suitable research/creative methodologies. 3.Utilize pertinent theoretical frameworks. 4.Exhibit an interdisciplinary approach fitting to their specialization. 5.[PhD] Create original research/creative programs that meaningfully advance their field.
