To complete the Ph.D. degree, students must accumulate 72 graduate credits, with a minimum of 48 credits from formal coursework. The remaining credits can be obtained through dissertation research, workshop participation, or supplementary courses. With approval from both the Graduate College and their dissertation committee, students may transfer a restricted number of graduate credits from other institutions.
