The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) provides four pathways to obtain a graduate degree in electrical or computer engineering: a thesis-based Master of Science, a creative component Master of Science, a conventional Ph.D., or a direct entry Ph.D. program. Our doctoral candidates have completed degrees in just four years, while master's students typically finish within two. Additionally, students can choose ECpE as their primary department for interdisciplinary graduate programs in bioinformatics and computational biology (Ph.D.), cybersecurity (MS, Ph.D.), and human-computer interaction (MS, Ph.D., with certificate options).
The Bioengineering Research Group pioneers the development of microscopic and nanoscale technologies to investigate biological systems including microbes, cells, proteins, genetic material, and individual molecules. By integrating nanotechnology with advanced computational methods and imaging techniques, our team conducts groundbreaking research in this dynamic field.
