The Classical Studies Program offers an interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to explore the rich civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome and their enduring impact on Western and global cultures. Through the minor in Classical Studies and major in Interdisciplinary Studies, students engage with a comprehensive curriculum covering ancient Greek and Roman cultures, literature, history, archaeology, and art—spanning from prehistoric eras to Emperor Constantine's reign. The program also includes introductory Latin instruction. Classical Studies courses offer valuable context for students pursuing majors or careers in History, Anthropology, English, World Languages and Cultures, Philosophy, Women's and Gender Studies, material culture, law, medicine, political science, life sciences, and related disciplines.
