The Master of Public Affairs (MPA) program at the O'Neill School at IUPUI enhances your knowledge of public, private, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving the public good.

Our 39-credit MPA program focuses on practical applications across various fields, equipping students for leadership positions in legal, managerial, financial, and budgetary roles within public and nonprofit organizations.

The Urban and Regional Governance specialization provides students with both theoretical concepts and practical tools to tackle urban challenges and opportunities.

This concentration capitalizes on O'Neill IUPUI's faculty knowledge, the university's urban setting, and current social, demographic, and economic trends that draw increasing numbers of students to pursue education, residence, and careers in metropolitan regions.

Undergraduate degree equivalent of a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree 3.2 GPA or higher Combined score of 300 or more (verbal and quantitative) on the Graduate Record Examination (optional) TOEFL scores or the equivalent of English as a second language Official transcripts for work done outside of the Indiana University system Three letters of recommendation TOEFL iBT of 79-99 or IELTS of 6.5-7.0 will take the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) placement test.
