As a natural science student on the Pre-Dentistry path at IUP, you'll get an exceptional education designed to qualify you for dental school after your third year, helping you save both time and tuition costs.
You'll take advantage of unique partnerships between IUP and Temple University's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, enabling you to count first-year dental school credits toward your IUP graduation requirements. Up to 30 credits from Temple can be transferred to fulfill part of the 120 credits needed for your IUP bachelor's degree.
Your coursework at IUP will include foundational classes in biology, chemistry, and physics to prepare you for dental studies, along with at least 24 credits in humanities and social sciences. Since dental school admissions are highly competitive, IUP offers alternatives if you'd rather complete your four-year degree first, with options including natural science, biology, or chemistry majors.
