The Ecology, Conservation, and Environmental Biology (ECEB) program encompasses fundamental biology courses along with specialized classes in ecological and environmental studies.
To develop an environmental specialization, students need comprehensive education in science and mathematics. This flexible program enables students to explore specific interests, including minors in environmental fields like geology, geography, urban planning, and environmental law.
The curriculum fulfills the academic prerequisites for professional accreditation from both the Ecological Society of America (associate ecologist certification) and the Wildlife Society (wildlife biologist certification). Graduates are well-prepared for graduate studies or careers in ecology and environmental science across academic institutions, government agencies, and private sector organizations.
