We are a comprehensive department that performs top-tier research across the full spectrum of biological disciplines, ranging from ecosystem studies to nanoscale biology, and from evolutionary science to cellular, molecular, and systems biology along with bioinformatics. Our graduate programs provide advanced research training in crucial fields including behavior studies, biochemistry, cellular and developmental biology, ecology, evolutionary development, genetics, genomics, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnological applications, and plant sciences. Our academic programs are structured to foster intellectual growth and prepare students for diverse career paths, whether in academic research and education, biotech industries, or environmental conservation organizations. The curriculum requires completion of 30 credit hours, with a minimum of 20 credits dedicated to approved courses in evolution, ecology, behavior, or related subjects. These courses must form a cohesive program centered on ecological, evolutionary, and behavioral sciences, subject to approval by the student's advisory committee.
