Students can pursue a dual Master's degree in History and Jewish Studies, offering rigorous academic preparation in both historical methods and interdisciplinary Jewish Studies, including relevant languages. This program is ideal for those aiming for professional careers in Jewish Studies or planning to continue toward a History Ph.D. By combining the degrees, students complete 52 credit hours rather than the 62 needed for separate degrees. The curriculum includes 5 History courses, 5 Jewish Studies courses, and 12 elective credits. Language courses related to research interests—typically Modern Hebrew, Yiddish, or Biblical Hebrew—may count toward elective requirements in this dual-degree option.
