The Bachelor of Science in Psychology prepares students for careers in industry or research. Along with comprehensive exposure to contemporary psychology and its scientific methodologies, the curriculum focuses on building strong foundations in science while enhancing mathematical and computational abilities. Compared to the B.A. program, the B.S. requires more rigorous psychology coursework and hands-on laboratory experience. Psychology majors pursuing a B.S. are highly encouraged to specialize in a particular area and participate in research, equipping them with the expertise needed for competitive graduate programs or careers in healthcare, medicine, business, and education. Graduates with a B.S. in Psychology will be well-equipped for advanced studies in psychology and related disciplines, professional schools, and careers requiring scientific and quantitative skills, even outside traditional psychology roles.
