The Jacobs School of Music provides three undergraduate bachelor's degree options: Bachelor of Music programs in performance, composition, historical performance, and jazz studies; Bachelor of Science degrees covering audio engineering, sound production, ballet, and music combined with another discipline; and Bachelor of Music Education programs specializing in choral, general music, instrumental band, or instrumental strings instruction. Specific descriptions for these music education specializations can be found in the respective curriculum sections.

All music undergraduate degrees require at least 120 credit hours, not counting I400 and major ensemble courses. Certain programs may need additional credits due to specialized requirements.

Student must earn a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma) to be eligible for admission consideration. Students who are homeschooled or attend an alternative school should submit credentials that demonstrate equivalent levels of achievement and ability.To complete your application for admission, we require an official high school transcript and a full senior year schedule.
