This program provides certification for instructing in both elementary and special education from kindergarten to 6th grade. Specifically, it equips you to teach in inclusive classrooms serving students with and without disabilities. The curriculum emphasizes blending theories, philosophies, and methods from both general and special education approaches. You'll gain hands-on field experience working with diverse learners. Given the strong need for educators trained to support students with special needs, graduates enjoy numerous career prospects. Beyond teaching in standard elementary classrooms, program completers are qualified for roles as consultant teachers, inclusion co-teachers, and instructors in specialized classrooms for exceptional learners.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
