IU's Bachelor of Arts in International Law & Institutions examines these topics, along with how global organizations influence international legal frameworks. As the sole undergraduate international law degree program in the U.S., it offers a unique educational experience. Students in this major benefit from interdisciplinary learning, engaging with professors from both the Hamilton Lugar School's International Studies Department and IU Maurer School of Law. Following the Hamilton Lugar School's approach, International Law and Institutions students enhance their analytical abilities while gaining cultural and regional knowledge through intensive language studies, area-specific classes, and study abroad opportunities. The program culminates in a comprehensive capstone research project that integrates all acquired knowledge.
