The Bachelor of Arts curriculum mandates learning one or more Central Eurasian languages. Upper-level courses provide in-depth understanding of specific regions such as Tibet, Mongolia, Xinjiang, Central Asian nations, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Hungary, and/or Estonia and Finland. You'll cultivate language skills and cultural awareness while examining contemporary cultural and political landscapes within their historical frameworks. Our curriculum enables deep exploration of a Central Eurasian specialization area by achieving fluency in relevant languages alongside studying regional history, culture, religion, and geopolitics through interdisciplinary methods. This degree program integrates two core components: a specialized language track (LOS) that lets you engage with your selected culture through native perspectives, and a regional focus (ROS) comprising diverse courses about your chosen civilization.
