Indiana State's Music Composition BM program equips you with the skills and creativity to turn your musical visions into distinctive, impactful compositions. Master compositional methods through our specialized program while preparing for professional opportunities in writing, arranging, and other artistic fields.

The curriculum includes foundational and advanced composition classes, alongside music theory, historical studies, repertoire analysis, ear training, and performance practice. Students engage in ensemble performances, receive one-on-one instruction, experience live concerts, and develop proficiency in piano, audio technology, orchestration, and conducting within the School of Music's dedicated practice facilities.

Qualification Requirements

Attended high school, college, or university in the U.S., you must have official transcript(s). Applicants for admission must submit official transcripts from all high school and post-secondary institutions at which course work has been attempted and/or credentials have been earned. Maintain a competitive grade point of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
IELTS - 6, TOEFL - 61 , TOEFL PBT - 500, PTE Academic - 45 , Duolingo score of 95 or higher.
