The Master of English Education is a graduate-level program tailored to enhance the subject expertise and teaching skills of current English Language Arts (ELA) educators holding a bachelor's degree in English Education. This 34-credit program combines mandatory English Education courses with electives in English or related fields, culminating in a thesis project. Throughout scaffolded core classes, you'll develop, execute, and document action research within your secondary classroom(s). You'll present your findings to professional peers while refining your teaching methods and advocacy for diverse student populations. Grounded in contemporary research, this forward-thinking program equips English teachers with strategies for promoting equitable instruction within their educational communities. Must have earned a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a college or university that is accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association, or do so within one academic year
