The Department of Communication Sciences Disorders serves as both an academic unit and a professional training program, emphasizing both scholarly learning and hands-on clinical experience. CSD graduates at the master's level are equipped for careers in various clinical environments, including private practices, public institutions, and academic roles. Our department's core purpose is to deliver exceptional, student-centered education that cultivates ethical, dedicated, empathetic, and skilled practitioners. Our clinical facility reflects the same standards of excellence as our academic offerings, serving as an essential training environment for aspiring clinicians. We provide comprehensive speech-language pathology and audiology services to clients across all age groups while giving students a robust clinical education. The Master's in Speech-Language Pathology (MS in SLP) is a 24-month program (spanning six semesters, beginning in summer). This program requires 40 academic credit hours, 18 clinical credit hours, and completion of either comprehensive examinations, an independent research project, or a master's thesis.
