The School Psychology doctoral program holds accreditation from the American Psychological Association (APA) and has received approval from three key organizations: the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), the Council for Accreditation of Teacher Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the Illinois State Board of Education. These APA and NASP/CAEP endorsements signify that the program meets rigorous national standards for training school psychology professionals. The accreditations indicate a well-rounded curriculum, excellent training quality, and appropriate supervision during field experiences. Students can earn their doctorate through five years of study, including four years of full-time on-campus coursework followed by a year-long internship.
