This program integrates the atomic and nuclear principles of engineering with scientific studies. Research focuses span from classic nuclear engineering fields (reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, and reactor design) to interdisciplinary subjects including health physics, radiation detection, nuclear fuels, materials science, fuel cycle analysis, and radioactive waste handling. Equip graduates to perform and share original academic research.
Train graduates for academic or industrial careers. Expand graduates' expertise in their specialization: chemistry, engineering (all fields), geosciences, mathematics, and physics. Strengthen graduates' capacity to make meaningful contributions to their profession. Improve graduates' written and verbal communication abilities.
