Students pursuing a physics major will enroll in courses that equip them for careers in industry or government, or for advanced studies in physics and related disciplines.
The Physics Department provides two undergraduate degree options plus a physics minor. The Bachelor of Arts degree and minor program offer flexibility for students seeking interdisciplinary skills. The Bachelor of Science program focuses more intensely on physics, preparing students for professional roles in physics or closely related fields. This curriculum includes mandatory core classes along with specialized coursework in chosen areas. Foundational physics and mathematics courses form the core, establishing the groundwork for higher-level learning. Those intending to pursue graduate studies in physics should opt for the Bachelor of Science in Physics degree.
