The Plus 1 Accelerated Program enables Physics undergraduates in the College of Science and Technology to earn both their bachelor's degree and a Master's in Middle Grades Education within one additional year. This graduate program fulfills Pennsylvania's certification requirements for teaching grades 4-8. Participants will qualify to teach all elementary subjects for grades 4-6 while specializing in one secondary certification area for grades 7-8, choosing from: Dual certifications (Math & Science, Math & English, or Science & English) or Single certification (English, Math, Science, or Social Studies).

Your application must include all official and original academic records from any secondary school you have ever attended.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
