The Computerized Machining Technology program is offered through Idaho State University's College of Technology. This program collaborates with Idaho Career & Technical Education and holds approval from the State Board of Education. Students will acquire knowledge while building and demonstrating professional competencies in these areas: • Operating manual lathes and milling machines; • Programming and operating Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) equipment; • Using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computer Aided Machining (CAM) systems; and • Working with advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment. Graduates will develop these key abilities: Proficiency in operating engine lathes and milling machines while following industrial safety protocols. Skill in interpreting blueprints to create precision parts and assemblies. Competence in programming and operating computer-controlled mills and lathes for part production. Capacity to apply mathematical principles relevant to machining practices
